About the Journal

North African Advances in Radiotherapy and Oncology (NAARO) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal that aims to promote research and innovation in oncology and radiotherapy from Tunisia, North Africa, and beyond.

NAARO is supported by an international editorial board composed of experts in radiation oncology, medical physics, imaging, medical oncology, and related disciplines.

The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, case reports, editorials, conference communications, and educational papers in the following fields:
– External beam radiotherapy and brachytherapy
– Medical physics, radiobiology, and radiation protection
– Medical oncology and surgical oncology
– Nuclear medicine, medical imaging, and artificial intelligence
– Associated disciplines: cardio-oncology, psycho-oncology, and supportive care

✦ Open Access Policy

NAARO is a fully open access journal, with no fees for reading or downloading. All articles are freely available immediately upon publication. Authors retain copyright, and manuscripts are published under the Creative Commons CC BY license, allowing sharing and reuse with appropriate citation.

✦ Editorial Ethics

All submissions undergo double-blind peer review. The journal follows the ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Conflicts of interest, funding sources, and ethical approvals must be disclosed.

NAARO was established by the Tunisian Society of Radiation Oncology (STOR) as part of its mission to strengthen scientific output, increase regional visibility, and promote international collaboration in the field of oncology.

The journal is planned for integration into digital archiving systems such as LOCKSS and CLOCKSS. Each published article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure long-term preservation, traceability, and discoverability.
